The Delhi GST Professionals Group (India) is a dynamic collective of Chartered Accountants
and Advocates specializing in GST and indirect tax practices. Established three years
ago, the Group is committed to empowering the younger generation with the skills and
knowledge required for handling litigation assignments, providing insightful opinions to
businesses, and mastering the intricate nuances of the laws they practice.
Our members are guided by integrity and a profound understanding of legal principles.
They engage in collaborative discussions, sharing insights to arrive at well-rounded
legal conclusions. The Group facilitates knowledge exchange through legal notes,
articles, and online discussions.
Over the past three years, we have organized nearly 60 study sessions, each lasting
three hours. These sessions feature ld. speakers who provide in-depth interpretations of
laws and landmark judgments from the High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.
Members benefit from free study materials provided by the speakers, who contribute
valuable insights into their respective topics.
Our Vision and Activities:
The Group's core objectives are the professional development of its members and the
dissemination of knowledge on a global scale. Self-financed by its members, the Group
undertakes various monthly activities, including publishing a monthly e-newsletter,
maintaining an organized website, and managing social media platforms - all designed
and executed internally.
Starting with just 40 members, the Group has grown to nearly 200 professionals. It is
recognized by trade, industry, and corporate entities as a trusted source for advice and
litigation. Notably, Shri Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of the Confederation of
Indian Traders (a body representing over 8 crore members in India and abroad), serves as the patron of our
e-newsletter and actively participates in our meetings.
The Group is on the threshold of hosting one of the largest GST Conferences in Asia – with over 450 participants – at Delhi in collaboration with CAIT where the Group is not only the Knowledge Partner ( Speakers from this Group will only speak) but also the entire responsibility of organizing, hosting and executing the Conference planning is on the shoulders of young members of this Group. A stellar achievement for the Group.
Empowering Young Professionals
The Group is dedicated to fostering young professionals' growth and recognition. More
than 25 new speakers have emerged from the Group, presenting at various forums on
topics they've mastered through our sessions. Senior members act as mentors,
providing guidance and support to ensure the younger generation thrives.
Our members boast a global clientele and are highly sought after for organizing inhouse
seminars, providing expert opinions, and handling litigation. As a testament to
our commitment to the profession, the Group is preparing specimen drafts of appeals on
12 key litigation topics, offering them free of cost to professionals across India - a
pioneering initiative.
Our Philosophy
We operate on democratic and participative principles, with decisions made by a core
committee. The Group values equality, ensuring senior members create a level playing
field for younger professionals, mentoring them to rise and shine alongside the Group.
